1437 Community H2O

Clean water aiding communities to reach their full potential for education, employment and longevity
1606 QCCT Child Wellbeing Zimbabwe

Today, 1.1 billion people lack access to an improved water resource and over three million people, mostly children, die annually from water-related diseases worldwide (UNICEF, 2008). In many developing countries water sources are used for a wide range of activities and needs, including bathing, washing, cooking, drinking, as the toilet and as a dumping ground for rubbish and pollutants. Poor water is a major reason for high mortality rates and compromised health, including organ damage, which prevents individuals from achieving levels of education that would help them break their poverty cycle.

Community H2O positively impacts disadvantaged communities through the installation of gravity-fed, bio sand filtering systems which provide potable water for 20+ years.
